World Poker Crown (WPC) - Rules:
WPC weekly event terms and conditions:
WPC $3M Guaranteed Terms and Conditions:

The following are the terms and conditions of the "World Poker Crown" first tournament (the "Tournament") which is organized and promoted by Cassava Enterprises (Gibraltar) Limited, the operator of the Internet sites found, inter alia, at www.888.com and www.pacificpoker.com (the "Promoter"). Your participation in the Tournament shall be deemed to be your complete acceptance of the terms and conditions herein. Please note that these terms and conditions apply for both the online and offline stages of the Tournament, including the final table event.

  1. Entry to the Tournament is available only to persons over the age of 18. You may be asked at any stage to provide the Promoter or a third party with proof of age and/or identity.
  2. Unless provided with special written permission by the Promoter, employees and relatives of employees of the Promoter and any entities affiliated or related to the Promoter shall not be eligible to enter the Tournament. For the purposes herein, the term "relative" shall mean spouse, partner, parent, child or sibling.
  3. The Tournament satellites (the "Satellites") shall commence on Feb 20, 2008 and continue until the Tournament's online final stage (the "Online Final") which shall be held on April 26, 2008 (the "Tournament Period"). The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to alter the Tournament Period in its sole discretion.
  4. The Satellites will take place both daily and weekly (adjusted for different time zones around the world) during the Tournament Period and take the form of 'Satellite' events. The Satellites shall consist of both 'Multi Table Tournaments' ("MTT") and 'Sit & Go Tournaments' ("S&G") with buy-ins ranging from $US 1.20 to $US 105 for MTT and $US 2.75 to $US 525 for S&G. In the course of the Tournament Period the Promoter shall also offer a variety of 'Freeroll Tournaments' free of any buy-in and entry fee designed for certain populations of the Promoter's sole choice. The entire Tournament shall be played subject to our own "House Rules" and "Tournament Rules" to be found on www.pacificpoker.com.
  5. The Tournament Online Final shall have a direct buy-in of $1000+$50 and will be capped at 5000 players. Number of chips, blind, levels and timings are as per the tables published below. Once the Tournament Online Final reaches a point where only 8 players are left, the game will be paused and the remainder of the Tournament will be completed offline in the Peralada Castle in northern Spain on May 8, 2008 (the "Final Table Event") where each of the 8 players will carry their chip stack to the Final Table Event.
  6. Notwithstanding the above, the Promoter reserves the right to 'round up' or 'race off' the available chip stacks of the 8 Final Table Event participants in order to make the Final Table Event less cumbersome and easier to manage. This will be done in an unbiased and fair manner.
  7. In order to provide the Final Table Event participants with a better playing structure which is more in line with live play (offline), the Promoter reserves the right to change the Final Table Event 'blind' structure from the 'blind' structure featured in the Online Final, including without limitation, the 'starting blinds', the 'level up time' and 'blind increments'.
  8. In the event that the Online Final does not stop once there are 8 players left in the game, all actions that take place thereafter will be voided and the 8 top players shall start the Final Table Event with the amount of chips that they held at the time that the Online Final should have been suspended.
  9. In the event that more than one player is eliminated in the same hand and there are less than 8 players left in the Online Final the remaining amount of players will proceed to compete in the Final Table Event. For demonstration purposes only, if there are 9 players left and in one hand 3 players are eliminated, the game will stop and only 6 players will play in the Final Table Event.
  10. In order to take part in the Tournament you must be an 888.com member and have an active user account with the Promoter at www.pacificpoker.com ("Pacific Poker Account"). If you win a seat for the Online Final or any of the Satellites but do not have a Pacific Poker Account, you will be required to open a Pacific Poker Account prior to playing.
  11. In the event that you win more than one seat to a Satellite, you will receive the cash value of the buy-in to this Satellite in your Pacific Poker Account.
  12. You may only win one seat to the Online Final. In the event that you qualify to the Online Final but already have a seat, you will receive $1050 ($1000+ $50) in your Pacific Poker Account.
  13. For the purpose of playing in the Final Table Event the 8 Final Table Event participants will arrive in Barcelona, Spain, on May 6, 2008 and leave on May 9/10, 2008. The Promoter shall fully pay for the flights or other travel arrangement, travel insurance and hotel costs of the 8 finalists and Promoter shall carry out all the required flight bookings and hotel reservations. Each of the finalists will be allowed to invite one guest of his/her choice to accompany him/her for the duration of the stay in Spain at the Promoter's expense. The 8 finalists and their guests shall bear the sole responsibility for having a valid passport, visa and all other required documentation for the purpose of traveling to Spain on the above designated dates. The winner of the Final Table Event will be crowned as the 888.com World Poker Crown champion and will be rewarded with a prize of $1,000,000. All prizes in the Final Table Event shall be deposited by the Promoter in the winners' Pacific Poker Accounts and in no event shall the Promoter pay out winnings to the Final Table Event participants in cash.
  14. In the event that a player reaches the final 8 players in the Online Final, he will be required to attend the Final Table Event. If for any reason a qualifying player does not attend the Final Table Event, the Promoter reserves the right to either distribute such player's chips evenly amongst the remaining players or remove the chips from play. Such player shall be automatically placed in the 8th position by the Promoter and shall have no claim whatsoever against the Promoter in such regard. In the event that two players fail to attend the Final Table Event they shall be given the 8th and 7th positions respectively based on their chip stacks and this principle shall apply to every additional player who fails to attend the Final Table Event. For this and other technical reasons it may be that the chips available at the end of the Tournament will not add up to the amount of players multiplied by the starting chips.
  15. In the event that for any reason whatsoever any of the Final Table Event participants fail to comply with all the arrangements as instructed by the Promoter, such player shall be deemed to have forfeited his / her right to participate in the Final Table Event and the Promoter shall not have any obligation whatsoever to compensate the player in any way.
  16. The Final Table Event shall be filmed and broadcasted on television. The Final Table Event participants and their accompanying guests will also be interviewed, photographed and filmed "behind the scenes" before and after the Final Table Event. Therefore all Final Table Event participants shall be required to grant the Promoter the right to photograph and film them and their guests throughout their entire stay in Spain for the Final Table Event and acknowledge that the Promoter and its affiliated companies shall have a royalty-free, perpetual and world-wide right to use all materials produced during the Final Table Event in any manner and in any media. For this purpose, all participants in the Final Table Event and their guests will be required to sign appropriate waivers in relation to the use of their names and image as part of any marketing or promotional materials without the need for any prior consent or payment. Any Final Table Event participant who refuses to sign the required waiver form shall not be permitted to play in the Final Table Event. The chips of such player will be removed from play, and he will be given the 8th position in the Tournament. Should there be more than one player refusing to sign the waiver they will be given the 8th and 7th positions respectively based on their chip stacks and so on.
  17. The Final Table Event participants may all be required to wear 888.com branded clothing provided by the Promoter at the Final Table Event if asked by Promoter to do so both during the game play and during all interviews. Any Final Table Event participant wearing the Promoter's clothing shall use reasonable efforts to ensure that the logos on such branded clothing are plainly visible at the Final Table Event.
  18. The Final Table Event participants may also be asked by the Promoter to make themselves available following the Final Table Event for promotion purposes, and acknowledge that the Promoter may request that they participate in seminars, photo-shoots, public events, marketing events, press opportunities or any other public appearance as may be reasonably required by the Promoter and endorse the Promoter's sites at each such event. In the event a participant of the Final Table Event is requested by the Promoter to engage in the above, such participant's consent shall not be unreasonably withheld or denied.
  19. The Promoter's decision is final with respect to all matters relating to the awarding of the prizes throughout the Tournament and shall not be subject to review or appeal by an entrant or by any third party.
  20. Your participation in the Tournament is deemed to constitute your agreement that the Promoter may use your name, likeness or image for promotional purposes without the requirement for any payment to you and you expressly waive any claims against the Promoter in this regard.
  21. You hereby agree that, in the event of your winning any of the Tournament prizes, the Promoter shall be entitled to use your name, likeness and image in relation to promotion and marketing of any of its Internet sites and you hereby grant the Promoter the right to do so.
  22. In the event that the Promoter shall deem that an entrant to the Tournament has acted in collusion with other entrants, executed any act in bad faith in relation to the Tournament, conducted play in a fraudulent or unethical manner or has not adhered to the Promoter's "House Rules" and/or "Tournament Rules", such entrant shall be excluded from the Tournament will therefore be ineligible to win any prize.
  23. If, for technical reasons, the Tournament is cancelled while in progress, entrants who have already been eliminated will lose their buy-ins and entry fees. The remaining players will be refunded their buy-ins and entry fees, and will equally divide up the remaining prize pool of the players already eliminated (regardless of the chip standing when the Tournament was halted).
  24. By entering the Tournament each entrant unreservedly agrees to these terms and conditions which govern the Tournament and the awarding of the prizes, along with the Promoter's "House Rules" and "Tournament Rules".
  25. By entering the Tournament each entrant agrees to release, discharge and hold harmless the Promoter, its legal representatives, affiliates, subsidiaries, agencies and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents from any damages whatsoever, including any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with the acceptance of any of the prizes and with the participation in the Final Table Event.
  26. Entrants who win any amount of money as part of the Tournament shall be solely responsible for any taxes levied in relation to the receipt of such monies.
  27. The Promoter reserves the right to alter these terms and conditions at any time and in its sole discretion.
  28. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to cancel, modify or suspend the Tournament if, in the sole judgment of the Promoter, the Tournament is not capable of being conducted as specified. By way of example only the Promoter reserves the right to change the location and dates of the Final Table Event if the Promoter deems that such change is required for any reason whatsoever.
  29. These terms and conditions and any matters relating hereto shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales and shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Royal Courts of Justice, London, England.
